Busy week

These are the cupcakes I made that serve as giveaways...
This past week was my busiest week in terms of baking. I just made my biggest and heaviest cake so far. Here are some of the pictures I took at the reception. The mom was extremely happy with the result.

Sweet 16 Cake

I had a fun time doing this Sweet 16 Cake . It was a two tier purple and pink motif with zebra/animal print design. The mom was extremely happy with the result more so the celebrant. Unfortunately when i delivered the cake she wasn't still there but she sent me a note saying how happy she was with her cake.

Doctor's Appointment

Today I brought my youngest son to his pedia just to make sure he's okay. You see he's stool has been very liquidy  the past few days and I'm a bit worried already. Thank God everything's okay with him. The doctor said he's getting a lot of patients that have the same condition. Oh well, as long as my son's okay that's what really matters right?

Finals...

I just got home from school. Yes I go to school from 6-10 on Fridays and whole day Sundays. We just had our finals for Module 3 and it came out good! I got a 100% on my practical which was to bake a Lemon Scented White Cake and decorate it as well. It was fun but a lot of work. I thought I was going home early but since there were a lot of stuff to do like the buttercream and royal icing, we ended up going 30 minutes past 10pm.
I was also able to get the binder for Module 4, our final mod! I will surely miss going to school.

Morimoto

Last Saturday, my husband and I had our post Valentine date at Morimoto in NYC. He booked it in advance and so we didn't have a hard time getting a table. Our table was ready as soon as we got there which was pretty good. I hate waiting...Anyways, we tried their 7 course meal which was really worth it! Here are some of the pics I took. My husband didn't want me to use my camera so I just used my iphone.

First, we had this tuna tartar which was I think the best tuna tartar! nothing to complain..
For our main course, we had Wagyu beef and lobster...yummy!
We also had foie gras which was really good....
For the price that my husband paid, there was not a single think I can complain about. Everything was just so delicious! We will definitely go back.
